Sheriff's Accident Report

11-5-08 – A single vehicle accident occurred on rural township road 750 N approximately one-half mile west of 100 E. The driver, Brien D. Fell, 39, Galesburg, was traveling east when a deer ran out in front of his vehicle and was struck. There were no injuries reported but the vehicle did sustain over $500 in damages.

11-10-08 – A deer-related vehicle accident occurred along Route 17/91 approximately one-half mile east of 900 E. Driver, Julie A. Hansard, 44, of Wyoming, was traveling east when a deer ran out in front of her vehicle and was struck. No injuries were reported but the vehicle did sustain over $500 in damages.

11-11-08 – A single vehicle accident occurred at 700 N approximately one-eighth mile east of 650 E. The driver, Jeffrey W. Beamer, 48, Toulon, was heading east when a deer ran into path of the oncoming vehicle and was struck. There were no injuries reported but the vehicle sustained over $500 in damages.

11-12-08 – A single vehicle accident occurred along Route 40 approximately onefourth mile south of 1600 N. Vehicle driver, Penny K. Cade, 47, Sterling, was traveling north on the highway when a deer ran out in front of the oncoming vehicle and was struck. There were no injuries reported but the vehicle did sustain over $500 in damages

Sheriff's Incident Report

11-9-08 – A domestic battery incident was handled by the Stark County Sheriff’s Office in the 200 block of Mulberry Street in LaFayette.
11-10-08 – Jacqueline E. Guiza, 29, Kewanee, was arrested by Wyoming Police Officer Mark James, for battery. She posted $100 cash bond and was released with a court date to appear.
11-10-08 – Sheri Copple, of rural Wyoming, reported a theft of lumber from her residence. The incident is being investigated by Stark County Chief Deputy Robert Winn.
11-11-08 – Lisa N. Williams, of Wyoming, reported a burglary from her vehicle after discovering evidence of where an unknown subject(s) had broken into her car while it was parked in the 900 block of North Main Street in Wyoming. The incident remains under investigation.
11-14-08 – Terrence A. Buzbee, 49, Toulon, was arrested for disorderly conduct. He was later issued a notice to appear and later released.
11-15-08 – A theft of a John Deere disk was reported stolen from a rural Elmira location. The incident remains under investigation through the Stark County Sheriff’s Office.
11-15-08 – Chris D. Bishop, 31, Newkirk, OK, was ticketed for disobeying a stop sign and driving while his license is revoked. He posted $100 bond and was released with a court date to appear.
