Two Stark County students will advance to Sectionals in Golf on Monday

Hannah Rowen (pictured at right) qualified for Sectionals this Monday at Highland Spring in Milan, IL. Rowen is the daughter of Curt and Melonie Rowen, of Toulon. This week she played at El Paso Country Club and ranked third overall and first non-team individual in the event.

Sam Klooster (pictured at left) qualified for Sectional this Monday and will play at Hawthorn Ridge in Aledo, IL. Sam is the son of Jerry and Jill Klooster of Wyoming. Klooster received a 40 on his back nine at Gibson Woods in Monmouth for a total score of 88. He was the sixth non-team individual.

Coach Jim Langdon plans to cover both events on Monday as the courses are about 25 miles apart.

“I can’t choose between them,” said Langdon. “I’m just going to go to both as much as I can. This is exciting for the school and the students as well.”
