Toulon will be holding its annual Toulon Christmas Celebration on Monday, December 7 from 5-7:30 p.m.  During that time various businesses will be open for the public to stop in and visit.  Many will be serving refreshments and have door prizes.  
Don’t forget to stop out at Toulon Rehabilitation and Health Care Center for their many activities, prizes and entertainment.  Santa will be visiting at the center, Steve Hatfield and Jan Sams will be performing and they will have their luminaries lit, just to name a few activities.
Each business participating will have tickets for you to sign up for the Toulon Bucks drawing at the end of the evening.  Just prior to the drawing there will be an auction of Christmas wreaths decorated by various businesses.  The proceeds from this auction will go towards the Toys for Kids tree sponsored by the Leezer Agency and the Christmas Baskets sponsored by our local churches.   The auction was a huge success last year and was also a lot of fun.  The Wreath Auction and Toulon Bucks drawing will take place at the News Room Bistro.
At each business will be a collection box for canned and paper goods that will be donated to the local Food Pantry.  Canned fruit is always needed.
The Stark County High School band and chorus will be performing on Main Street.  Let’s hope the weather cooperates.  Danny Blakey will be performing at the News Room Bistro courtesy of State Bank of Toulon between 6:30 and 7:30.

Santa Claus will be arriving downtown Toulon at 5:30 via the fire truck.  He will be visiting with children at Connie’s Country Kitchen which will be serving soup specials that evening.
Food will be plentiful as Dad’s Pizza is once again hosting a spaghetti dinner with proceeds to benefit the Toys for Kids tree.  The State Bank of Toulon will be presenting its community checks at 6:30 p.m. at the bank.
