Accidents
3-22-11 – A hit and run accident was reported from along West Park Street in Toulon.  A parked vehicle owned by Roger and Cheryl Ingels, of LaFayette, was discovered damaged by an unknown vehicle driver who left the scene.  The accident remains under investigation.
3-23-11 – A two vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of 650 E and 1450 N.  The drivers involved were identified as Luis M. Ortega, 25, and Olivia Corral-Juarez, 35, both of Kewanee.  There were no injuries reported, but Ortega was cited for driving an uninsured vehicle and for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.  Both vehicles sustained over $1,500 in damages.
3-26-11 – A two vehicle accident occurred at the Stark County Junior High School parking lot along East Prairie Street in Toulon.  Drivers involved were identified as Nicholas L. Phillips, 53, and Miriah J. Kraft, 17, both of Wyoming.  No injuries were reported and no citations were issued, but damage to the vehicles was estimated between $501 and $1500.
Incidents
3-21-11 – A dog bite incident was reported from a Castleton resident.
3-21-11 – A child custody dispute was reported to authorities by a rural Toulon resident.
3-22-11 – Lee R. Newberry, 35, of Toulon, was arrested on a Jackson County warrant for failure to appear on the original charges for driving under the influence of drugs.  His bond was set at ten-percent of $18,000.
3-23-11 – Francis B. Barnes, of Wyoming, reported a theft from his rural machine shed where an air compressor was discovered missing.
3-25-11 – Roger L. Musselman, of rural Toulon, reported the theft of his pickup truck and two guns from his residence.  The vehicle was later located by authorities from the Woodford County Sheriff’s Department.  The incident remains under investigation.
