Accidents
4-28-11 – A two vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of Route 91 and Vine Street in Toulon.  The driver’s involved were identified as Baillie A. Buckley, 19, of Wyoming and Sarah A. Kupris, 21, of Toulon.  According to the accident report, Kupris reportedly was attempting to make a right turn off of Route 91 when Buckley’s vehicle struck her vehicle in the rear.  There were no injuries reported, but Buckley was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
4-29-11 – A single vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of 800 N and 500 E at 11:40 p.m.  Authorities reported that driver Andrew P. Schmidt, 23, of Toulon reportedly was traveling west on 800 N when he failed to stop at a T-intersection.  Schmidt refused treatment at the scene, but a passenger identified as Shawn M. Williams, 24, of LaFayette was taken by ambulance to Kewanee Hospital for injuries he sustained.  Schmidt was ticketed for illegal transportation of alcohol, reckless driving, driving in the wrong lane and failure to reduce speed to avoid and accident.  He posted his driver’s license as bond and was released with a court date to appear.
5-5-11 – A single vehicle deer related accident occurred along Route 17 located east of the Snareville Road.  The driver involved was identified as Gregory A. Wages, 40, of Wyoming.  There were no injuries reported or citations issued, but the vehicle did sustain over $1,500 in damages.
Incidents
4-30-11 – Kristina E. Potter, 29, of Wyoming, was arrested by Bradford Officer Gary Evans, and charged with battery.  She was released with a notice to appear.
5-2-11 – Threats and harassment were the source of a complaint received from a resident in the 200 block of East Clinton Street of Toulon.
5-4-11 – Ubaldo P. Valencia, 26, of Toulon, was arrested by Toulon Police Chief Terry Engels for domestic battery.  He was taken into custody and transported to the Stark County Jail.  After appearing in court Valencia’s cash bond was set at $10,000.
5-4-11 – Angela G. Holzhausen, 47, of Peoria, was arrested by Wyoming Police Officer Phillip Wells for driving under the influence, driving under the influence with a blood alcohol content over .08, illegal transportation of alcohol and improper lane usage.  She was taken into custody and transported to the Stark County Jail.  She was later released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond and a court date to appear.
5-7-11 – Cecil H. Wilson III, 47, of Washburn, was arrested by Stark County Deputy Gary Bent, and charged with operating an uninsured vehicle, driving under the influence and improper turn.  He posted $120 cash bond and his driver’s license being released with a court date to appear.
5-7-11 – Jake M. Alvis, 41, of LaFayette, was arrested by Stark County Deputy Eric Peed, for possession of cannabis with less than 2.5 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia.  He posted $100 cash bond and was released with a court date to appear.
5-8-11 – Justin L. Mensen, 21, of Galva, was arrested for possession of cannabis with less than 2.5 grams.  He posted $100 cash bond and was released.
