A child assault case was filed against a Wyoming man this past week in Stark County. Dale A. Dupoy, 32, who faces a charge of aggravated battery of a child, was arrested by Stark County Sheriff’s office and the Wyoming police.

The mother of the child, Kari L. Kidd, 26, of Wyoming, stated that she saw Dupoy spank her son during a visit to a neighbor’s apartment, where Dupoy’s girlfriend lives.

A babysitter for the child contacted authorities after discovering a "bruise" on the 13-month old baby’s buttocks during a diaper change.

Kidd was also arrested by Wyoming police and charged with child endangerment. She posted $100 bond.
