Arlene Ingle

Toulon – D. Arlene Ingle, 88, of Toulon, Illinois, died at 2:35 a.m. Monday, June 11, 2012, at Toulon Rehabilitation & Health Care Center.
Arlene was born February 11, 1924, in Stark County, the daughter of E. Pearl Roberts and Frank Gerard.
Surviving is one son, Larry D. Ingle of Toulon, Illinois; two granddaughters, Melissa (Mark) Ehnle of Wyoming, Illinois, and Melinda Philbee of Williamsfield, Illinois; one step-granddaughter, Tammy Holmes of Raymond, Illinois; two great-grandkids, Maggie Ehnle and Colon Kear; three sisters, Audrey (Jerry) Stapel, Shirley Frail, and Helen (Al Gloyd) Simmons; one brother, John (Donna) Gerard; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Betty J. Fell, three brothers, Frank Gerard, Jr., Rodney Gerard, and Wendell Wayne Gerard, and her life-long friend, John Smith.
Arlene worked in various area restaurants, and the Hemp plant in Wyoming. She also drove a truck for Lester Streed, and was gate keeper at Lake Calhoun. Most recently she was a bus driver for Stark County Schools for 35 years before retiring.
Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service was at 11 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2012, at Toulon Funeral Home.  Rev. Joe Ballard officiated.  Visitation was one hour prior to memorial service at the funeral home.  Burial of ashes was in Toulon Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to a fund for her great-grandchildren established at State Bank of Toulon.
