Rain clears, Rebels and Lady Rebels go to action

The Rebels played host on Monday afternoon to Ridgewood in a rescheduled double header game. Despite heavy weekend rains, the game got underway as promised.In game one, the Rebels were held scoreless and had only one hit, while Ridgewood posted three runs on five hits.
Cole VanWassenhove pitched all five innings, allowing two earned runs, two walks and three strike outs.
In the second game, the Rebels went on top early with three runs in the bottom of the first inning, 3-0, but Ridgewood answered back with four in the top of the second.

For the 13th consecutive year, the EastSide Centre in East Peoria will host the Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) Class A State Final Track and Field Meet. A total of 2,580 athletes will participate in the two-day meet this Friday and Saturday (May 11-12).
Baseball leads conference at 6-2

The Stark County Rebels baseball team split four games last week to move to 13-9 on the season.First, on April 9, the Rebels traveled to Orion and despite a first inning run to take an early lead, Stark County fell, 7-4.
Isaac Lindley had a double and Derek Gray, Bryce Paxson, Sam Klooster and Evan Webber all scored for the Rebels.
Pitcher Kyle Wagenbach pitched all six innings, allowing seven hits, seven runs, six earned runs, six walks and one strike out.
The next night in Toulon versus Galva-Williamsfield, the Rebels got out to an early 3-0 after one inning and didn’t look back. The Rebels took a 4-1 victory with multiple hits from Klooster and Justin Kohler.

Girls results from the April 5th track meet against Princeville are as follows (Stark County first places listed): triple jump, Shania Kraklow (31’2”); high jump, Kraklow (4’4”); 3200 run, Kyra DeSchepper (13:47.15); 110 int. hurdles, Kraklow (18.81); 800 run, Samantha Roth (2:49.15); 400 dash, Roth (1:09.63); and 300 low hurdles, Kraklow (57.96).Boys results are as follows (Stark County first places listed): triple jump, Brandon Lee (31’6”0; long jump, James Butts (19’2 ½”); high jump, Kyle Milroy (5’6”); and 300 int. hurdles, Lee (49.39).

The Stark County Lady Rebels continued their fast paced schedule with six games over the past week.On Tuesday, March 20, the Lady Rebels hosted Brimfield/Elmwood in a game that looked better in the first six innings then it did after the seventh.
Brimfield/Elmwood took advantage of four errors by the Lady Rebels in the seventh inning to score eight runs on top of an already 3-1 advantage.
