With the first couple games usually getting rained out or even snowed out, mid-60’s was certainly welcomed for mid-March.
Stark County hosted Bureau Valley in Wyoming for the first contest of the season.
The Lady Rebels were able to work their way out of runners at second and third in the top of the second, but then allowed three runs in the fourth, two of them on an error (ball overthrown to first).

One and done for Rebels in regionals

schoolIn the first round of regionals versus North Fulton on Monday night, the Rebels rode on the back of Bryce Willis and his 20 points.
“[He] kept us in the game,” said head coach Jade Noard. “He did a really nice job spotting up and hitting shots. But we didn’t have a whole lot to go with it.”
The Rebels looked energized and ready to play early on, with eight first quarter points from Dalton Miller and a pair of threes from Willis.
Despite that and a 18-11 lead after the first quarter, coach Noard said his team simply wasn’t primed.

Lady Rebels bow out in regional semifinal game

schoolThe 2011-2012 Lady Rebels’ season came to a close last Wednesday night when they hosted the Eureka Lady Hornets in a regional semifinal game.
Stark County’s only first quarter scoring was from senior Taylor Endress. She had two three pointers and two trips to the free throw line for eight first quarter points.
Meanwhile, Eureka was hitting their shots for a 14-8 lead after the first quarter.
The Lady Rebels were driving to the lane, but not getting the foul calls, therefore resulting in quite a few empty trips down the court.
