Stark County’s boys basketball season didn’t start like everyone else’s.“We felt like we had some disadvantages before the holidays with shortened practices because of football and then the accident situation,” said head coach Jade Noard. “We kept preaching to our kids we want to get through this until Christmas when we would have a full week to practice.”
The Rebels have started their conference season off the right way with five straight victories to remain a perfect 5-0.
“They’ve taken a lot of pride in defending their conference title,” said Noard. “I thought our kids did a good job believing, which is tough when you start 2-7, you can go down in the dumps. But we kept telling them there are better times to come.”
