Pulled pork sandwiches, sides, and drink are included in the price of $5.00 for 12 years and under, $7.50 for adults, with 100% of the proceeds going to the Bradford pool. There will be a silent auction and raffles, as well.

The Bradford Police Dept. received an X26 TASER weapon with training and certification by enforcement personnel to be scheduled. Funding for the TASER was provided with the sale of the old Village dump truck for scrap metal. Funding through a grant application was not awarded to the Bradford Police Dept. for the acquisition of a new squad car. There remains the possibility that if a grant awarded to another police dept. fails, then Bradford would be reconsidered for that particular grant.
The 2010 Motor Fuel tax (MFT) was approved and the 2011 MFT was discussed concerning street maintenance-repairs and initial engineering fees. In separate motions, the board approved $29,000 for maintenance, resurfacing, and repairs of the Village streets, and $2,945 for the preliminary engineering rate, plus a $3,000 resolution for unforeseen costs. The total of approximately $35,000 was approved. Sidewalk repairs were discussed, but sent into a committee meeting for further planning.
In other agenda items, the dates of June 6-10 are set for the heavy trash pickup this year. The recycling shed was approved for the Bradford Rescue Squad’s hog roast to be held June 4, 2011. Gravestone repairs will occur by Jim Robertson after receiving an instructional tutorial from Toulon’s Cemetery Supt., Don Schmidt. Headstones will be straightened which have been previously leaning or are now leaning due to winter snows.
