Horsley named 2011 Miss Stark County Fair

IMG_44972 Carrie Horsley, daughter of Bob and Mary Horsley of Galva (rural Toulon), was crowned the 2011 Miss Stark County Fair Queen on Friday night. Also joining the ranks of royalty for the Junior Miss competition was Sydney Wisnefski, daughter of Jeff and Laurie Wisnefski of rural Wyoming, and Karsyn Rewerts, daughter of Mark and Deann Rewerts of Wyoming, in the Little Miss. The runner-up in the Miss (only one runner-up place was given due to there being only four girls competing) went to Katelyn Chandler. The rest of the awards were as follows: Carrie Horsley, Evening Gown, People’s Choice, Physical Fitness, Speech and Stage Presence; Meghan Ellis, Photogenic, Tonia Allen Memorial Effort Award; and Heather Bauer, Congeniality, and Interview Award.

Junior Miss first runner-up went to Payton Hillan and second runner-up went to Lindsey Hoffert.
The Junior Miss awards were as follows: Payton Hillian, People’s Choice Award ($210); Sydney Wisnefski, Interview, Party Dress, Speech/Stage Presence; Lindsey Hoffert, Photogenic; Courtney Enhle, Congeniality; and Bryanna Hewitt, Tonia Allen Memorial Effort Award.
The 2011 Little Miss first runner-up is Brooke Montgomery and Kali Breese is the second runner-up.
Little Miss awards were given as follows: Kylie Salisbury, Tonia Allen Memorial Effort Award, Poise; Karsyn Rewerts, Party Dress, Playwear, Style, Friendship; Courtney Bryner, Spirit; Maddie Wilson, Sparkle; Belle Young, Star; Brooke Montgomery, Photogenic, People’s Choice ($382), Best Smile; Kali Breese, MC Award; and Marley Hillan, Sense of Humor.
Reigning and outgoing queens Alexi Strandberg, Emily Pasker, and Alex Williams helped crown the new queens.
Horsley is the 21st Miss Stark County Fair Queen in the pageant history and was the 2005 Junior Miss.
Wisnefski is the 7th Junior Miss and was also the 2006 Little Miss Stark County Fair.
