PITTSBURGH, May 25, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — “I realized there was a strong need for a device that mimics the effects of turning patients to lay facedown on their abdomen so I invented this,” said an inventor from Orlando, FL. “My invention provides all the positive effects of proning COVID-19 patients while minimizing the negative effects.”

This patent-pending, compact and convenient design would optimize pulmonary function for patients who are in respiratory failure, possibly from COVID-19 by forcing the lungs to expand to improve lung function and oxygenation.. It would also significantly reduce the skin breakdown and necrosis associated with proning patients. Additionally, the design would be such that it would be easy to install, use, position and adjust.

The original design was submitted to the Tampa sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
