Senior members of the Bradford Community gathered at the Bradford Senior Citizen Center on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 to share the last meal served at the Bradford Senior Citizen Center through the MSW Projects of Henry. Twenty-one meals were served within the facility with four more meals taken to shut-ins, seven meals to Wyoming, and twenty-eight meals to Toulon. The Bradford facility received this service since approximately the year 2000 or shortly after. However, due to lower attendance since November of 2017 at the Bradford site, the services will no longer be provided. The Bradford Board will replace appliances removed by MSW. Bradford Board and community members are working diligently to incorporate a similar program for seniors in the near future. Senior Citizens are still welcome in the interim to use the facility for Bingo, and other fellowship activities. The building will still be available to rent for various activities.
The MSW Projects Board is planning to open another site within the service area.
