The Toulon Woman’s Club met May 8, 2018. The meeting was called to order by President, Paige Fairfield. Dinner was prepared by the Ways and Means committee and everyone enjoyed a salad supper featuring specialties of our members: Appetizer: toast and cheese spread (Sylvia Smith), Salads: Chicken Pasta Salad (Paige Fairfield), Lemon Fluff Jello Salad (Ann Turnbull), Broccoli Salad (Diane Graves) and Cranberry Raspberry Salad (Sandy Langdon). For dessert, the members savored homemade angel food cake with fresh strawberries and vanilla ice cream.
The Officers were installed for the 2018-2019 year and are as follows:
Sandy Langdon – President; Paige Fairfield – Vice President; Sylvia Smith – Secretary; Cheryl Hurst – Treasurer.
During the business meeting portion of the evening, the Club approved changing the date of the future meetings to the first Tuesday of every month (September through May).
Following our summer break, the next Toulon Woman’s Club meeting is Tuesday, September 4th at 6:30 p.m. This will be a dinner meeting and members will be called for reservations.
