Incidents

7-8-18 – Sonay M. Jensen, 50, of Dunlap, was arrested by the Wyoming Police Department for battery and criminal trespass to a residence. She was released with a notice to appear.
7-8-18 – A vehicle theft was reported by a resident from the 200 block of Smith Street in Castleton. The vehicle was later located in Peoria.
7-8-18 – A 15-year-old Wyoming teen was arrested and charged with theft, criminal trespass to property, and illegal possession or consumption of alcohol by a minor. The teen was taken into custody and transported to the Mary Davis Home in Galesburg.
7-11-18 – Threats and harassment were the source of a complaint received from a LaFayette resident in the 500 block of East Main Street.
7-12-18 – Jessica A. Williams, 44, of Wyoming, was arrested for theft and two counts of forgery. She posted $150 cash bond and was released.
7-13-18 – Paula J. Porter, 48, of Wyoming, was arrested for battery. She was later released with a notice to appear.
7-14-18 – John F. Carrick, 36, of Toulon, was arrested by the Kewanee Police Department on a Stark County warrant for failure to appear on the original charge of retail theft. He posted $100 cash bond and was released with a new court date to appear.
7-15-18 – Frances E. Iles, 28, of Kewanee, was arrested by the Kewanee Police Department on a Stark County warrant for failure to appear on the violations for driving on an expired driver’s license for over a year, speeding, and driving without a valid driver’s license. Iles was extradited to the Stark County Jail. She later posted cash bond of $100 and was released with a new court date.

Accidents

7-8-18 – A single vehicle accident occurred on Modena Road and 1250 N. The driver involved was Melissa B. Brody, 37, of Bradford. She was traveling north on Modena Road when a deer stepped out in front of her vehicle and was struck. No injuries were reported, but the vehicle sustained over $1,500 in damages.
