Incidents & Accidents
3-28-19 – A deer-related vehicle accident occurred along Route 17 near the intersection of 950E. The driver involved was Deborah K. Ford, 50, of Toulon. No injuries were reported but the vehicle sustained over $1,500 in damages.
3-30-19 – A single-vehicle accident occurred on 700N located just east of 625E. A 16-year-old Toulon teen was traveling south when he reportedly failed to reduce speed upon the approach of a curve. The vehicle left the road on the right side and struck a telephone pole before crossing back over both lanes of traffic and coming to rest in the ditch on the opposite side. No injuries were reported but the driver was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
3-26-19 – Joseph P. Williams, 34, Toulon, was ticketed for driving while his license was suspended. He was issued a court date to appear.
3-27-19 – Mason J. Senders, 19, Bradford, was issued a notice to appear for battery.
3-27-19 – A possible scam was the source of a complaint received from a rural Wyoming resident.
3-27-19 – Phillip D. Adams, 19, Toulon, was arrested for aiding and or abetting child abduction and criminal trespass to real property. Also charged in the same incident was Donna Bantz, 31, Toulon, arrested for child abduction, aggravated battery, and criminal trespass to real property. Both individuals posted $1,500 cash bond and were released with court dates to appear.
3-29-19 – Kirstin E. VonBerge, 25, of Crete, was arrested for possession of cannabis under 10 grams, possession of a controlled substance, possession with the intent to manufacture and or deliver a controlled substance, cited for improper lane usage, and failure to signal when required. She was released with a notice to appear.
3-30-19 – Ira McNutt, 47, Bradford, was arrested for unlawful restraint. Unable to post the $150 cash bond he remains in custody at Stark County jail.
