Karel L. Lambird

BRADFORD – Karel Louise Lambird of Greeley, Colo. (formerly of Bradford) passed away at her home March 24, 2019, after a long battle with leukemia.

Lambird was born on Nov. 16, 1931, in Toledo, Ill., to Arthur and Eugenia (Reisner) Cunefare. She was the only one of 14 children to be born in a hospital due to Scarlet Fever quarantine.

She married Howard Keith Lambird on Dec. 10, 1949. She graduated from Newton High School and Illinois Central Community College. She was a Registered Nurse for over 20 years, working in dialysis, hospital medical floor and doctor’s office.

She was preceded in death by her husband Keith and 13 siblings.
She is survived by her four children, Darrell and Vicky of Bradford, Alice and (Robert) Chapman of Greeley, Paul Lambird Of Colorado Springs, and Laura Lambird of Greeley.


Funeral services were held March 28 in Greely, Colo.
