Lucille Lauber

PRINCEVILLE – Lucille Ottilia Lauber, 98, of Princeville, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2019, at her residence. Lucille was born March 28, 1921, in Spring Bay, Ill., the daughter of Joseph and Barbara Chilly Theobald. She married Julius Lauber in Peoria, Feb. 14, 1946. He preceded her in death on Feb. 11, 2009.

Surviving are three daughters, Diana Williams, Linda Gehrig, Robin (James) Harwood and one son, Randall Lauber, all of Princeville; eight grandchildren, Darcy (Gerry) Jacobus, Jeff (Stacy) Gehrig, Ryan (Sue) Williams, Niki Williams, Bret (Rachel) Williams, Lacey Yess, Derek Harwood, Matthew (Jamie Bird) Lauber; 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Lucille was preceded in death by five sisters and five brothers; son-in-law, Ron Williams, and two infant siblings.

Lucille was a 50-year member of the Monica United Methodist Church, where she taught bible and Sunday school for many of those years. Helping her husband on the family farm was her passion along with gardening and growing flowers.

A memorial service for Lucille will be at 3 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2019, at Haskell Funeral & Cremation Services in Princeville. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Akron Princeville Ambulance or Akron Princeville Fire Department.
