Incidents & Accidents
7-13-19 – A deer-related vehicle accident occurred on Route 17 at the intersection of 500E. The driver involved was Dawson J. Nuding, 23, of Kewanee. No injuries were reported but the vehicle sustained estimated damages between $501 and $1,500 in costs.
7-14-19 – A three-vehicle accident occurred on Route 93 approximately a half mile west of 1500E. Drivers involved were identified as Felicia P. Warner, 32, Robert J. Colgan, 70, and Teresa M. Acton, 58, all of Bradford. Warner was traveling west on Route 93 when she reportedly crossed the center line and hit an oncoming vehicle being driven by Colgan. Debris from both the vehicles impacted Acton’s vehicle which also caused damage.
Warner was ticketed for improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and driving without vehicle insurance. Warner and two juvenile passengers in her vehicle, along with Colgan were transported by Stark County Ambulance to OSF St. Luke Hospital for treatment.
7-13-19 – A golf cart was reported found in a ditch near the Bradford business known as Ehnle Electric. No driver was immediately located with the cart, but later Donald G. Martin Jr., 57, of Bradford, was ticketed for driving under the influence, and for driving on a suspended license. He was released with a court date to appear.
7-15-19 – A theft of $35 cash was reported from a staff member at the Toulon Health Care and Rehabilitation facility. The missing funds were reported as funds from the activity department.
7-16-19 – Wadondra M. Carr, 46, Peoria, was arrested on an outstanding Henry County warrant. She posted $200 cash bond and was released with a new court date to appear.
7-17-19 – Luis E. Stear, 24, Edelstein, was ticketed for driving while his license was suspended and for speeding.
7-20-19 – Nathan M. Ager-Bolton, 23, Bradford, was ticketed for possession of drug paraphernalia.
7-20-19 – Heather L. Hochstatter, 41, Wyanet, was ticketed for driving on an expired registration and for disobeying a stop sign.
7-21-19 – Tanya A. Walker, 46, Bradford, was ticketed for illegal transportation of alcohol.
7-23-19 – A two-vehicle accident occurred on Route 91 southeast of Wyoming. Drivers involved were Eden V. Endress, 23, Camp Grove, and Harry F. Miller, Jr., 69, of Chillicothe. Endress was cited for failure to yield from a private drive.
7-22-19 – A traffic accident occurred in the Casey’s General Store in Toulon. Driver David L. Wilson, 82, of Toulon, was attempting to back up a truck and trailer and backed up into a vehicle owned by Misty L. Turnbull, 43, also of Toulon. No tickets were issued but estimated damages were reported at over $1,500.
7-22-19 – Nicole L. Newton, 37, Speer, was ticketed for failure to signal when required.
7-22-19 – A rural Wyoming resident reported that a spray plane damaged a utility wire while flying and knocked out the electrical service to his residence.
7-22-19 – Jerry L. Cade, of Bradford, reported a burglary of items from his shed.
7-22-19 – Kevin R. Scholl, of rural Wyoming, reported criminal damage to property after finding evidence of where an unidentified vehicle had drove through the ditch and onto his property before hitting a culvert.
7-22-19 – Marvin Smith, Castleton, reported a possible forgery involving his credit card.
7-22-19 – An incident involving criminal damage to state supported property is being investigated at the Stark County High School.
7-22-19 – Terrence S. Garland, 49, Bradford, was arrested for domestic battery, assault, and unlawful restraint. He was taken into custody and transported to the Henry County Jail.
7-22-19 – Keicia R. Black, 26, Toulon, was ticketed for operation of an uninsured vehicle.
7-22-19 – A 16-year old Farmington teen was ticketed for operation of an uninsured vehicle.
7-22-19 – Dustin M. Miller, 30, Sheffield, was cited for operation of an uninsured vehicle.
7-22-19 – Jared R. Brodie, 26, Altona, was ticketed for having an open container of alcohol.
7-22-19 – Chad L. Dean, 40, Galva, was cited for speeding 56 in a 35 mph zone, illegal transportation of alcohol, unlawful use of a weapon, and driving without a valid insurance card. He was also found wanted on a Henry County warrant for failure to appear on a speeding violation, and a Knox County warrant for failure to appear on a violation for not having a valid registration. He was taken into custody and transported to the Stark County Jail. He posted $647 in cash bonds and was released with court dates to appear.
