Lady Rebels now 7-1 with wins over Illini Bluffs, ROWVA

The Lady Rebels have improved their record to a 7-1 after a flawless finish to start the season at the Princeton tournament and then three home wins over Knoxville, Illini Bluffs and ROWVA.
Versus Illini Bluffs, the Lady Rebels got off to a hot start with two three pointers in the first quarter from Hannah Rumbold and one from Brianna Endress to accumulate a 17-8 advantage. Stark County added 15 more points in the second quarter for a 32-17 lead at the half.
In the final two quarters, Jenna Ehnle and Laura Rouse were both impressive for Stark County with nine and eight points respectively for game totals of 13 and 10. Willow Porter and Endress added another three each too to give Stark County the 59-30 victory over Illini Bluffs.
This past Monday night versus ROWVA, Stark County was a little slower to get out of the gate, but in the end they took care of business 56-26.
Ehnle did a majority of the work early for Stark County under the basket for six of the team’s opening nine points.
Later it was Porter with an 11 point second quarter to propel Stark County to a 24-12 halftime advantage.
Rumbold nailed a three in the third and McKenna Liggett added two threes in the fourth to secure an easy 56-26 victory for Stark County.
