Rebels rebound after first loss

schoolStark County hosted Galva Friday, on February 12.  The Rebels came off their first conference loss of the season to Annawan, but would respond to beat Galva 51-43.
Stark County got out in front early and never let up, increasing their lead every quarter except for the last one.  By then they already had a big enough lead it didn’t matter.
The Rebels led after the first quarter 15-9.  Stark County only allowed three Galva players to score in the quarter.  The Rebels could not shake Galva as they only took a 7-point lead into halftime 26-19. 
Dillon Kelly led the Rebels in the third quarter with 6 of the team’s 10 points.  The Rebels defense stepped up only allowing 7-points to Galva in the third.  The Rebels led 36-26 going into the fourth quarter.
Galva came out strong in the fourth quarter scoring 17 points.  Stark county would be able to make enough free throws and hold off Galva 51-43, and improve to 5-1 in conference play, and 13-10 overall.
