Dr. T. P. (Doc) Haas, DDS, was smoked out of his Kewanee office this past week by a boiler explosion. Undaunted, Doc Haas was open the next day for business as usual in his former Wyoming office, located at 109 West Williams.
Dr. Haas is seeing patients in Wyoming on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 until 5 each day.
The explosion in the Kewanee Medical Arts Building caused extensive smoke damage to Dr. Haas’s office.
There is a bit of a tradition for opening the day following a fire or explosion. The great merchant Marshal Field opened up again for business the day after the great Chicago Fire of 1871. Closer to home, pharmacist Pete Johnson of Wyoming was open the day after his store burned several years ago.
