Village President Greg Bartley wondered aloud, “I hope someone shows up,” as the time for the monthly village meeting approached. As it turned out, only Vicki McRell and Rick Shipman were trustees present Monday, of the five trustees. Jeff O’Bryant, Rebecca Dalrymple and Chris Smith were absent.

With only the two trustees present, a required quorum failed to materialize. Therefore, no action could be voted upon concerning the agenda items.

Those agenda items listed were an update on the pump-house repairs, update on the Ira C. reed Library room repairs and the appropriations to be passed.

A closed executive session meeting was called and with Village Attorney David Cover attending, the subject of the meeting was the LaFayette versus Brown litigation legal case.

The meeting was adjourned and next month’s village meeting will be on August 1 at 6 p.m., in three weeks.
