Pianist and Knox-Galesburg Symphony conductor Bruce Polay is bringing two outstanding Knox College violin students to the News Room Bistro in Toulon Sunday, October 23 at 3 p.m. when they will play some of the great lyrical standards of the classical repertoire.

“To a Wild Rose” by Edward McDowell provides a flavor of a program that will include well-known pieces by Grieg, Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, Liszt and more.

Violinists Samantha Burgess and Alex Kellogg, students of Louise Polay, have both been playing violin since childhood, and Bruce Polay says they are absolutely outstanding.

Since this is a replacement program for the originally scheduled violinist, there will be no charge for the program. Bring all your friends.
As usual, there will be complimentary wine, sweets and coffee at half-time.
This is the first in the annual series of chamber music programs at the News Room Bisto.

The series is underwritten by Mike and Pat Stahl, Bob and Julie Mueller, the Stark County Fine Arts Network, the State Bank of Toulon, and State Farm agent Mike Bigger.
