The Toulon Civic Association set Sunday, October 30 for the second annual Trojan Trot one-mile obstacle course run south of the high school.

The event will have 12 obstacles and is designed for all ages.
Go to the Facebook page for “Trojan Trot” to register, or get registration forms from Hillary Colgan at the State Bank of Toulon or at Connie’s Country Kitchen.

Participation fees are $25 for individuals and $40 for families.

Soup supper at Bistro Nov. 12

The TCA is also planning a soup supper featuring Connie’s delectable chili and potato soup from 4:30 to 7 o’clock on Saturday, November 12 at the News Room Bistro.

Persons coming are encouraged to bring newcomers to the area as their guests.

There will be a free will donation.

To generate scrumptious desserts, a “pumpkin bake off” with $50 prize for the winner will be held.

There is no charge to enter and participants may bring as many entries as they wish. Judges from outside the community will decide the winner. Desserts should be dropped off at the Bistro at 4 o’clock.
Christmas Walk in Toulon to be December 3

The town’s annual Christmas Walk and Open Houses will be held Saturday afternoon, December 3, beginning at 5 o’clock.

Santa will be at Connie’s Country Kitchen at 5:30 and the annual auction of wreaths and other home-made items will be held at the Bistro about 7:30.
Businesses will be open and offering sweets for those who stop by.
