The theme for Bradford’s Red Ribbon Week this year was “You Only Live Once Be Drug Free!” Some of the members of the Student Council used red cups to create that theme in a fence outside the Jr. High.

The Bradford Jr. High Student Council sponsored a week of activities to celebrate Red Ribbon Week and Anti-Bullying Month. One such activity asked students and staff to dress in red to show support for staying healthy, strong, and kind. All those who participated in Kindergarten through 8th grade are pictured.

The student of the month awards were presented at Bradford Jr. High. The recipients were chosen by the staff because they display leadership qualities in both academic and citizenship areas. This award is sponsored by the Lord family in honor of Dorothy Lord who was an avid reader and supporter of reading and education in general. Awards are given to the most improved readers in 1st-6th and the best reader from last year’s 7th grade. A $100 gift card and $50 cash for each winner were awarded. Also $50 was given for each teacher who teaches reading. Pictured left to right:  Ethan Baxter, Morgan Coleman, McKenzie Stahl Farell Lord, Mason Talley , Sophia McFadden, Donald Barks.
