Pianist Bruce Polay brings his always enjoyable one-man program “Bruce and His Friends,” meaning his favorite composers and their works, to the News Room Bistro in Toulon Sunday April 30 at 3 p.m.
For the past decade, Bruce has been delighting audiences at the Bistro each spring with performances of music by the towering greats of composition, and Bruce always annotates each piece with background on the composer and the composition.
This year Bruce will be playing such favorites as “Clair de Lune” by Debussy and a Polonaise by Chopin, as well as works by Bach, Massenet, Haydn and others.
Admission is only $5 and that includes complimentary wine and sweets at half-time, as Bruce calls intermission. Students of all ages are always free as are members of the Stark County Fine Arts Network, a financial supporter of classical music at the Bistro.
Other underwriters include Mike and Pat Stahl, Bob and Julie Mueller, State Farm agent Mike Bigger, the State Bank of Toulon, and Fulvio Zerla and Deb Franklin.
