Local News Around the County May 10, 2017May 10, 2017 0 Comment Stark County High School’s Junior-Senior Prom was held on Saturday, May 6, at Ravina on the Lake in Peoria, Illinois. Members of the 2017 Prom Court were, seated from left to right, Queen Elizabeth West, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff West, King Todd Reay, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eric Reay. Standing: Jenna Ehnle, Hannah Rumbold, Yosita Beamer (representing 2016 Queen Bailey Herridge), Luke Wilson (2016 Prom King), James Plotner, and Jared Code. Forty-four members from the Stark County Century Clovers 4-H Club, along with adult chaperones, recently spent the night at Wildlife Prairie Park. The event, called “Night in the Wild” was made possible for the 4-H club through funds from the J. Dale White Grant. Another activity for the club made possible through the same grant, was a trip to the Titanic display held recently at the Peoria Riverfront Museum. The 4-H club is pictured here at the Kim St. John Butterfly Habitat at Wildlife Prairie Park. A capacity crowd filled the newly opened Orwig Auction and Event Center building, in Toulon, last Saturday evening for the Team Todd (Smith) fundraiser. Proceeds were designated toward Tracy Trot and pancreatic cancer research. Pictured is Dave Wall (left) with senior trustee, James F. Young, representing the Osceola Township Board, presenting Dave with a plaque for 12 years of service to the township as Road Commissioner. Dave is stepping down and Kevin Logsdon has been elected to serve. Kevin’s term will start the 15th of May. The Osceola Township Board would like to thank Dave for all of his hard work over the past 12 years. These are just a few examples of baskets of items that were available for auction during the Team Todd Fundraiser last Saturday at Toulon’s new Orwig Auction and Event Center building on Grain Bin Road.
